I am committed to providing my patients with the highest quality of care through professionalism, respect, focused intent, and a compassionate ear. By formulating a treatment plan that is unique to you, and by using various modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I strive to help you achieve a state of vitality & health by balancing your body's energies, releasing blockages, and helping you to awaken your innate ability to heal. In keeping with the tradition of wholistic medicine, not only the body, but the health of the mind and emotions are always given consideration in treatment, for only then can one truly flourish. I hope to impart to you an understanding of your health from a new perspective, one that is empowering.
The ancient wisdom and art of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine is a dynamic and potent healing system that has endured for thousands of years, and I am eager and passionate about sharing this wealth of knowledge and incredible healing potential with the Pittsburgh community.
Susan is a licensed Practitioner of Oriental Medicine by the State of Pennsylvania, which encompasses Acupuncture & Chinese Herbology. Upon graduation she completed rigorous exams, and was board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine [NCCAOM]. She carries a Bachelor of Professional Studies, and a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine (Chinese Herb specialization) from "Pacific College of Health and Science" of New York City. She was awarded the Chairman's Scholarship of Excellence from Pacific College, and a candidate for Valedictorian.
Unique experiences include an Internship at NYU Medical Center, Hospital for Joint Diseases: Initiative for Women with Disabilities, where she treated patients with varying chronic and debilitating disorders. Susan is a native of Pittsburgh, and after over a decade of living in New York City returned to her roots in the South Hills of Pittsburgh to open up a practice to service the community and the home she regards so fondly. Susan has been operating her private practice since 2008.
